Your loved ones may have departed but their memories will live forever. Enshrine their legacy lovingly and memorably, consider a Burial at Sea aboard Paradiso. Saying goodbye isn’t easy and we understand that sensitive nature of your loss, with our Burial at Sea Service, we'll ensure that all your requirements and needs are met.

Our Scattering of Ashes Services are performed according to the traditions of the sea aboard a two hour private charter. The Service is performed approximately one mile off shore. The service is customized to meet the specific requests of each family. Services can include: the Captain’s message, eulogies, celebration of life, reading of a poem and/or scattering prayer, offering of the ashes and roses to the sea, and ringing of the ship’s bell.

Complimentary Live Stream Services Available

Customarily, the only way distant family and friends who are unable to be there in person to say goodbye, offer condolences and sympathy, or share the moment to a loved one is by making a phone call, sending a card or flowers... We have changed that.

We offer an Internet live-streaming service, broadcasting (webcast) the Memorial Service to any Internet-connected device (e.g., PC, iPad, Android Tablet or smartphone). You can be Share the Moment viewing live from the comfort of the remote viewer's home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we bring food on board?

Yes, you can either bring your own food or have it catered. If you bring your own food you will need to bring everything to serve it on or with (plates, napkins, serving spoons, etc.) We provide a list of caterers our clients have used, or you may find your own. It is important that the caterers are familiar with yacht kitchens as they are much smaller than usual

Where do we meet the captain before charter?

You and immediate family will meet with the captain on-board approximately 20 minutes prior to departure time. You will provide the remains to the captain at this time to be prepared for the service in a silk-lined basket covered in long-stem roses and rose petals.

Do you scatter pet remains as well?

Yes, we offer scattering of ashes services for dogs and cats....your precious four legged family members.

Can we play music during the charter?

Yes, we have a sound system that you may plug into for your playlist or we have satellite radio stations you may choose from.

Where do we park?

You will be provided with up to 5 parking vouchers for the Bluewater Grill Restaurant valet (Paradiso Yacht is docked in front of the Bluewater). We also provide parking recommendations for those not receiving the vouchers.

Can we bring pictures, flowers, decorations, etc. on board?

Yes, you may bring decorations, flowers, pictures, etc. Open flame candles, balloons and confetti are not allowed. We provide an easel for over-sized pictures and collages.

Can we play a video during charter?

Yes, we have a large screen TV available for use.

Can we conduct our own service or bring our own Priest, Minister, etc?

Yes. Families may wish to conduct their own Memorial Service with our crew assisting your officiant and family. Or, our captain may conduct the Memorial Service according to our Memorial Service ceremony.

Can we use a biodegradable urn in place of having the ashes prepared in a silk-lined basket?

Yes
